Twenty-two practice games that end in a number, and a benchmark table that tells you whether the number is any good.
Most range sessions produce nothing you can check. You hit balls, you feel a bit better, and the next round looks like the last one. Nothing got measured, so nothing can be compared, and the same leak is still there in a month.
Nine putts from set distances. Ten drives into a corridor. A scored up-and-down sequence. Setup, procedure and scoring are printed on the page.
Your result sits beside what a 30 handicap, a 20, a 10, a scratch player and a Tour pro post on the same test.
Play it again after focused work. The number moved or it did not, and that answer decides what you practice next.
That comparison is what turns a number into information. On the Putting Proximity Test a Tour pro leaves roughly 10 to 12 feet across ten putts. If you leave 26 feet, you have found something worth the next two weeks of your practice time.
What is inside
- 22 games across 5 sections — putting (6 games), short game (5), approach shots (4), driving (5), and two full-round simulations
- A benchmark table on every game — 30 handicap, 20, 10, scratch and Tour, with a line explaining what each score means
- A printed score log on every game — date, score and notes, so your history lives with the game
- A duration on every game — most run 20 to 30 minutes, which fits a normal weeknight
- Four rules for running the library — one page, and they are the whole method
Built on strokes gained
The games are structured on the strokes-gained framework the Tour uses to work out where a player’s shots actually go, and the benchmarks are set from shot data covering the professional game through to the weekend golfer. That is why the tiers are believable rather than invented.
What this book does not do
It finds the leak and it does not fix it. Each game page names the drills that address the fault it exposed, and those drills live in Volume Two. Plenty of golfers own this book alone and get real value from knowing where they stand against their tier.

Questions
I am a 25 handicap. Is this too advanced?
No. Every benchmark table has a 30-handicap row, and higher handicaps usually move fastest early because there is more to find.
Do I need a launch monitor?
No. A tape measure and a pencil cover almost every game. Each page lists its equipment at the top.
Can I use these with my regular group?
Yes. Print as many copies as you want for the people you play with. The license covers that.
